Nurseries and childminders re-opening

It is no small task for nurseries, child minders and primary schools to get ready for re-opening their doors next week. The new protective measures published by the Government are lengthy and intricate. I applaud each and every one of them for their huge efforts to create an environment which is safe and secure for all the children.

Just one of the hundreds of pieces of guidance asks them to “remove soft furnishings, soft toys and toys that are hard to clean (such as those with intricate parts)”.

While vital to reduce the potential for the virus to spread it will of course leave many rooms with hard floors and a less welcoming and comfortable environment for the children to sit down and read a book or simply to play on the floor. Perhaps that is why so many of them have been in touch to buy our durable, easily wipe clean padded play mats?

Whatever the reason, at Munchkin & Bear we are grateful for their support and send them all a huge bundle of thanks for all their efforts in keeping all our little people safe 💙
